Composting is thought to be dirty, messy, time-consuming and a smelly process but it doesn't have to be and you can start today!
Part of what makes our Bamboozle compost bin so great is the charcoal filter that is placed in the lid, the filtered lid helps to absorb any smells caused by off-gassing.
This natural process that consists of mixing plant leaves, vegetable peels and organic matters and turning them in to a rich soil, known as compost.
Composting is a great way to cut down unnecessary organic waste and live a more sustainable life. It is estimated that around 15-20% of the waste we throw away is comprised of food scraps. By turning this waste into compost, it cuts down on methane emissions from landfills, while adding nutrient rich material back into the soil.
Whether you live in a house with a backyard, or in a small apartment - there is a composting system that will work for you. All you need is a good composting bin and a little bit of knowledge about the process.

How to get started?
-
If you don't have room for an outdoor compost pile, you can compost materials indoor using a special type of bin - just like our Bamboozle Compost Bin
-
Collect kitchen waste and garden waste for compost-making. First chop the waste into small pieces and put them in the bucket
-
Apply a layer of Bokashi microbes on top of the waste, repeat the process if more waste is added to the bucket until it is full and close the lid
-
With indoor composting, organic matter is not fully decomposed inside the bucket, the semi-decomposed product has to be buried in soil for soil microbes to act to complete the decomposition process
- Once the compost bin is full, you can move it outside or near the window, especially during warmer weather to help speed up the process
-
Your compost should be ready in 4 to 12 weeks
